| Some of the yearly scheduled community
activities include a Halloween Party for the Royall middle school students and
a Christmas Party for the residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Home with
caroling and gifts for all the residents. The Heritage Christmas party this
year is Dec. 5. For the fifth year in a row the Lions provided a free Christmas movie for area elementary students and younger with a $1.00 coupon for use at the Elroy Theatre snack bar. The movie this year was the 1977 "The Rescuers" Saturday, Dec. 3 at 10 am. The Elroy Lions Club members also participate in the State Adopt-A-Highway program and are responsible for keeping the litter along State Hwy 71 between Elroy and the Juneau-Monroe County line picked up. Each year the Elroy Lions Club awards scholarships to qualifying graduates of Royall High School who will be going on to a College or University of their choice.

| The major fund raisers for the
Elroy Lions Club are a food stand at the
Elroy Fair which will be June 22nd - June 25th, 2011, a food stand at the Royall High School football games, and the
most fun and informative of all -- the annual
Elroy Lions Club Radio Days
which will be Saturday March 31st from 1 - 10 pm and Sunday
1st, 2012 from Noon - 8 pm on radio station WBDL 102.9 Reedsburg.

As part of the festivities the Elroy Lions sponsors 4 races - the Tunnel Trails Half Marathon, a 5K run/walk and a .75K kids fun run for kids 12 and under. We have also added a 200 yard Applesauce Run for kids 7 and under. Website. |
